General Terms & Conditions

Kooloo Modern is an online shop that sells antique and 20th century furniture and home-ware. Please remember that our Furniture is vintage and will never be in ‘NEW’ condition there will be marks of some description. Please contact our team with any questions prior to purchase. We are happy to help! Due to the nature of our business, pretty much all of our stock has been used in a former life and is either restored or has been preserved in a sale-able condition. Please be aware that as these lovely pieces have lived lives before and they will be subject to signs of aging and general wear, this is also reflected in our prices. Whilst we make every effort to ensure our stock is sold in sound, safe and usable condition, all items are 'sold as seen'. As we are not the manufacturers, we cannot give any performance, safety or quality guarantees. We advise you conduct your own safety assessment, in particular for items that are to be used in a commercial situation.

Price, Payment Methods, Delivery & Returns

​All our items are priced in €. 

Prices do not include delivery, but we will be more than happy to arrange a Door to Door delivery anywhere in the World. 

If you need a shipping quote, please let us know your country + city when ordering via email ( and we will get back to you with the shipping costs. 

Alternatively we are happy for you to collect in person or arrange your own courier.


Payment is usually done via a bank transfer. (Paypal is also an option but we would add their fee in this case.) 


Please place your order via email ( and we'll prepare an invoice for you. Our bank details will be on the invoice. 


Payment is due within five business days from the invoice date. If payment/proof of payment is not sent between this time period the invoice is automatically cancelled. 

Delivery follows upon receipt of payment (including courier costs if applicable). 


Please note that the item is locked only upon receipt of payment / proof of payment. 

Please note that overseas customers may incur import duties and taxes, which will be paid by the purchaser.

Please also note that returns are not accepted for overseas / not EU customers.

For any item bought online that you wish to return. Additional postal, shipping or courier costs will be at the buyer's expense and must be returned within 14 days of delivery. This rule applies for EU customers only. Returns are not accepted for overseas / not EU customers. 

Any return request should be done within 14 days of delivery. Past that deadline, we will not accept returns. 

Also please note that returns should be arranged by the buyer.

We recommend that you use a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance to protect the item being returned. 

Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will then issue the refund. Please make sure to share your bank details when returning an item so we can transfer the funds immediately upon receipt. 

Please be aware that any reclamations (returns, general claims, etc.) should be done within 14 days of delivery. Past that deadline, we will not be able to help you. 

If the item bought online does not match the condition and pictures on our website, the additional postal, shipping or courier costs are on us. The reclamation should be done within 14 days to delivery. Past that deadline we cannot arrange the return. This rule applies only for EU customers. 

If the item arrives damaged then it must be photographed on delivery and e-mailed to us within 48 hours. 

We will need pictures of the shipping tag, of the package inside + outside and pictures of the damages. Without those pictures we cannot file the claim. 
You must hold on to all original wrapping for the process to be completed successfully.  

Packages are usually insured. However, the fact that a package is insured doesn’t mean you will always get a (full) refund when it’s damaged during transport.

Carriers have different rules and terms and conditions. 


In order to get a refund, the claim should be filed within 3 days of arrival to the carrier. After that deadline we won't be able to help you get the insurance back. When receiving a package, please check it immediately and thoroughly. Please never accept a package from a carrier if the package seems already damaged from the outside. If you sign for delivery in good condition, it becomes very hard to prove that the package got damaged during transport. 

Please note that this claim process may take a while. Refund will be possible only when we receive a positive confirmation from the carrier. This process (depending on the carrier) takes usually from 2 to 6 weeks.  

All our items are shipped from Brussels, Belgium. 


If orders aren't collected or need to be returned to sender due to insufficient or incorrect information, the responsibility to resolve this lies with the purchaser.

Please ensure the delivery details you share with us are correct. It is the purchaser's responsibility to resolve any discrepancies in this place, or in the instance of unclaimed parcels with their local postal/courier service.

If a package is returned to us due to insufficient / incorrect information or because it was unclaimed, the delivery & return costs will be at the buyer's expense.

Wholesale Inquiries

Kooloo Modern is always looking for new pieces of mid-century furniture and vintage items. If you are an antique dealer and/or an individual who wants to get rid of some pieces just send us some pictures of the items you wish to sell, the condition, the location (country + city) and the price you wish to get. It typically takes 24-48 hours for us to get back to you if this is of any interest to us. 

Privacy & Safety

We respect your privacy rights.  Right on. Any records on our customers are securely stored and are strictly private and confidential.  Your e-mails and payment details are locked safely in our secure database and never get passed on to any third party organisations. 

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
